<![endif]-->CASPA On-Demand can be accessed with any broadband internet plan, however
only customers on a compatible plan with our unmetered ISP partner will enjoy the luxury of unlimited CASPA downloads to their TiVo media device
with no effect on their monthly broadband cap.

Do I have to pay for content?

It depends on the content you decide to download. Some content is pay-per-view; other content is free-to-watch. You will be informed of the price of the content before you make the download.
CASPA On-Demand downloads are not counted against your monthly broadband quota with our ISP partners.

How long do I have to wait before I can watch the movie?

Depending on the speed of your internet connection, and what else you are doing on the internet, you can begin playing your selection soon after it starts downloading.
You will know when your content is downloading when you see the blue light on the front of your TiVo media device.
To begin playing your content go to your Now Playing List and select the CASPA On-Demand folder.
If your download isn't quite ready for viewing when you attempt to start playing it, your TiVo will tell you how long you need to wait before it's ready to go.

Is there any way I can get the movie off my TiVo media device and put it on my laptop or computer?

NO. Due to copyright laws you may not transfer CASPA On-Demand content out of your TiVo to any other device.
Content that you are able to access, view and display via the CASPA Service contains proprietary information and material that is owned by us and our licensors, and is protected by intellectual property and other laws including copyright.
You are authorised to use the content only for your personal, non-commercial use, and you may not copy, redistribute, transfer, sell, rent, lease or otherwise assign or sublicense it to any other person or device.

How do I protect my kids from accessing restricted content? What Parental Controls are there?

CASPA On-Demand offers titles ranging from G to R15 classification.
You are required to use a PIN code to purchase any movie on CASPA. This restricts users from viewing movies outside of your control. In order for you to restrict access to content that is not suitable for people under 15, you must keep your account information and PIN confidential.
If your TiVo is set in KidZone, your children will not be able to download any movies and will only be able to view G-rated movies that you have already downloaded for them to watch.
If there are people under 13 in your household or at your premises, we recommend that you activate the TiVo Parental Control option to restrict access to content that is not suitable for people under 13.
Parental Controls can be set by going to TiVo Central > Messages & Settings > Settings > Parental Controls.

How do I view or delete content that I have already downloaded?

To view any content that you've already downloaded, highlight the content from the CASPA On-Demand folder in the Now Playing List and press PLAY on your remote control.
If your download isn't quite ready for viewing once you attempt to start playing it, your TiVo will tell you how long you need to wait before it's ready to go.
To delete content once you've finished watching it, highlight the content in your CASPA On-Demand folder in your Now Playing List and press SELECT on your remote control, then highlight "Delete Now".

HOT TIP! You can instantly delete recordings from your Now Playing List by highlighting them with your remote control and pressing the CLEAR button.

What do the lights on my TiVoŽ media device mean?

The lights on the front panel of your TiVoŽ media device provide important information about the status of your DVR.

How do I set up or reset my remote control?

Select from the options below to find out more about:

Performing a global reset on your remote control.

Programming your remote control to control a TV/stereo.

To perform a global reset of your remote control

Please note: Following the steps below will reset all of the key functions on the remote, clearing the remote address, TV and AV codes, as well as any programmable buttons.

Step 1
Cover the end of the TiVoŽ remote control with your hand.

Step 2
Press the TiVo button and the TV POWER button simultaneously until the red light comes on.

Step 3
Press THUMBS DOWN three times, then ENTER. The red light on the remote should go out. If it doesn't, repeat this step.
Please note: If you press the wrong button, just press CLEAR to start over.

Step 4
Remove your hand from the end of the TiVoŽ remote control.

*Please note: After performing a global reset, you can reprogram your remote.

To program your remote to control your TV/stereo

Step 1
From TiVo Central, select Messages & Settings > Settings > Remote Control. This takes you to the remote control setup.

Step 2
Your TiVoŽ remote can control the power and volume of both your television and stereo. It can also control the 'TV Input' button on some televisions.

Please note: If you choose to control both your TV and stereo power simultaneously, the two may occasionally become out of sync (one turns off when the other turns on). To reset, manually turn your TV on or off to match your stereo. You can then use the remote as normal.

Step 3
Select your television or stereo brand from the list.

*Please note: If none of the listed remote codes work, go to How do I perform a code search if none of the codes for my manufacturer work?

How do I stream music from a PC to my TiVoŽ?

To stream your MP3 music library from your PC on your home network to your TiVoŽ media device, you must have the Home Networking Package enabled and the TiVo Desktop 2.8 for New Zealand software (which comes as part of the Home Networking Package) installed.

Publishing music with TiVo Desktop
Publishing your music means making MP3 files available over your home network to your TiVoŽ media device. Published music does not use any of your TiVoŽ media device's recording space. To publish a playlist or folder of music:

Step 1
Open TiVo Desktop and select the "Publish Media" icon.

Step 2
Click the "Music" tab, then click the "Add Music" button.

Step 3
Navigate to the folder containing the playlist or folder of music you want to publish. When you select a folder, any MP3 files within that folder are listed in the right frame of the "Add Music" window.

Step 4
To publish a whole folder of music, select the folder and click "Add". To publish individual MP3 files, select them from the list on the right, then click "Add".

Please note: TiVo Desktop works with music in the MP3 format, and with playlists in the following formats used by common PC music players: M3U, PLS, ASX and B4S. TiVo Desktop will not publish ACC or songs purchased through iTunes.

Streaming music on your TiVoŽ media device
To listen to music on the TiVoŽ media device:

Step 1
Go to TiVo Central > Music, Photos, & Showcases.

Step 2
Select your music on your computer. (Your selection may vary depending on how your computer is named.)

Step 3
You will see any playlists or folders that you have published. Highlight one and press PLAY on your remote control. In a few seconds, music starts playing. After the first song ends, the second song in the playlist or folder begins.

Step 4
Use the remote control to pause, play, fast forward and rewind. Use the numerical pad on the remote control to skip to other songs.
